Golden Isles Walk to Emmaus

The Pio Party for the recent Men’s Walk #7 and Women’s Walk #8 will be held this Friday at First Baptist Church of Brunswick at 7PM. New Pios do not have to bring food so the community is asked to provide extra as we welcome our newest members of the Emmaus family. Come an hour early for Sponsor’s Hour to learn about sponsoring a pilgrim on upcoming walks. Let’s all come out and show our support for the new pilgrims. Childcare will be provided.

The March Gathering for the Golden Isles Walk to Emmaus Community is this Friday, March 7^th at Wesley United Methodist Church at Frederica. Dinner will begin at 7pm and childcare will be provided.

Directions: From the F. J. Torras Causeway, turn left onto Sea Island Causeway (first traffic light). Drive to Frederica Road (Harris Teeter Supermarket is on right). At traffic light, turn left, traveling north on Frederica Road. Drive to the roundabout intersection. Follow signs to Fort Frederica National Park (about .6 miles). Wesley at Frederica will be on your right.

Please pray for my Mom, Betty McDonald.  She has been put back in the hospital in Dallas with congestive heart failure and severe swelling.  They have gotten her blood pressure and breathing back under control but she continues to be nauseated and is having trouble getting the fluid/swelling down. 
 
Also be in prayer for the next gathering at Wesley United Methodist Church on St. Simons Island.  The gathering will be Friday March 7 at 7PM.  The church address is 6520 Frederica Rd. The February Gathering will be at College Place United Methodist Church on February 1, 2008 at 7pm.

We are still in need of music players and singers for the gatherings and if you are willing to help please call John or Vickie McDonald.

If you haven’t filled out a willing servant form please get online and fill one out so you can serve on the future walks. Also there is still a need for applicants for the walks and if you have someone in mind to sponsor, it is time to get busy. It will be such a blessing if you can help someone else attend the walk.
