Wednesday, November 26th, 2008

Thank you for lifting our 16 year old nephew, Billy Fisher of Peachtree City, to the LORD in prayer. He’s in Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital with pancreatis possibly due to food poisoning. He’s in terrible pain. His parents are Hilary and Bill and he has a sister Allie. The family appreciates your prayers. GOD bless you!

Pilgrims Needed for Upcoming Walks

Wednesday, November 12th, 2008

Dear Emmaus Community,

Our upcoming February Walks are in jeopardy of canceling. We only have about 25 men and 25 women applications on hand. From experience we need about 60 applications to have a full walk. We really need everyone who is considering sponsoring someone to pray and get to work!! (That means we need the application turned in ASAP and no later than the end of December). The first week in January we will have to make a decision to move forward or cancel the weekends. Please ask God who he would have you to give the Gift of an Emmaus Weekend. Thank you for your help and applications for the walk can be found on the website!!

Chrysalis Flight #59

Tuesday, November 11th, 2008

Greetings,

I wanted to remind everyone to come out and support the young men attending Chrysalis Flight #59. You can do this by attending send-off on Thursday evening, candlelight on Saturday evening and closing on Sunday afternoon. All events will be held at Tattnall Campground, directions can be found on Coastal Emmaus’ web site www.segaemmaus.org and clicking the ‘directions’ tab. All times are the same as Emmaus, have caterpillars arrive between 6:00 - 6:30 pm, sendoff at 7:00 pm, arrive for candlelight 8:00 pm, arrive for closing at 4:00 pm. For sendoff, please use the main entrance for parking, for candlelight please use the first entrance that leads to parking behind the cabins.

Again, please support these young men this weekend.

Chrysalis Update

Monday, November 10th, 2008

Greetings,
Our Boy’s Chrysalis Flight #59 is next week and we are still taking applications for young men 15-18 that want to attend Chrysalis. The dates are November 13-16 (this coming Thursday) at Tattnall Campground. You can download the application from www.segaemmaus.org and go to the bottom right and click on the link for the application. Call Rick Kyall, registrar, at 912-657-1074 and he will give you his fax number. The cost is only $70 and if there is a hardship, there are limited scholarship funds available, just let Rick know if a scholarship will be needed. This past week we thought we were going to postpone the flight due to lack of registrations, but as we know God is good in his time and has provided enough that we are going to have this flight.

The 72 hour prayer vigil in available online and as of Sunday, there are 26 time slots available. Won’t you please bless these boys and sign up for some prayer time, like people signed up for the prayer vigil when you went on your walk or flight. You will be blessed back for being obedient to our Lord. The prayer vigil can be found here http://www.3dayol.org/Vigil/GetVigil.phtml?pvid=2864&commid=61.

Update on Charles Taylor

Friday, November 7th, 2008

Just got back from the Doctor this afternoon. They removed the dressing and put a couple of bank aids in its place. They said I could put weight on it if I wanted too. The knee is still sore and stiff and if everything continues on time they will remove the stitches on 11-18-08. Thanks you all for the prayers.

Charles Taylor
