Prayer Vigil for Rogers SP - Men’s Kairos #19

Friday, October 24th, 2008

To all my Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

I just received your e-mail for D Ray James Kairos #13 Weekend and was honored to receive the request and honored to add my name to the prayer vigil. The Rogers State Prison Kairos Community has been e-mailed with your request as well. We all know the value of prayer, whether it is Emmaus, Chrysalis, Journey, Kairos, or any other ministry. The choice is ours to intercede with prayer in the hour of need.

I also have a need for prayer for our 3-Day Weekend at Rogers SP. I am the Kairos #19 Weekend Leader November 20-23rd. I ask for prayer for the team and the 42 participants. Our web-site:

Kairos Prayer Vigil

Tuesday, October 21st, 2008

Dear members of the Coastal Georgia Emmaus community,

As some of you know I am leading the Kairos #13 - three day ministry at D. Ray James prison in Folkston, GA Nov 6-9th. I am asking that our Brothers and Sisters in Christ click on the following link below to help get this upcoming ministry bathed in prayer. Prayer is the basis for everything we do in Christ whether it’s in Emmaus or in Kairos or in our daily lives.

Some receiving this may have to type this link into their computer address window to gain access to this site for prayer vigils. You may be able to clip (copy this link) and post it in your address window on your computer to get it to come up.

This is the link http://3dayol.org/Vigil/GetVigil.phtml?pvid=2966&commid=893

Please wrap this weekend in prayer for the team and the inside participants who desperately need God’s wonderful love and grace.

Your Brother in Christ,
Randy Ashurst

Chrysalis Needs Your Help

Thursday, October 16th, 2008

Hi Everyone,

Our next Chrysalis flight is just one month away. We need your help to spread the word to your churches, youth pastors and pastors that there is still room for that special young man that could benefit from a Chrysalis Flight. Our next set of flights for boys and girls will be in June, so you can start thinking about sponsorship for the summer flights. Chrysalis is the same type of program as Emmaus but geared for teenagers 15-18. So, please pray about that special person who could benefit from this experience like you did on your Emmaus, Chrysalis or Journey experience.

You can download the application at www.segaemmaus.org and scroll down on the right side and click on the link for Chrysalis Flight Application and mail it to the registrar listed.

I hope and pray that you pass this message on to your youth pastors to spread the word in the many youth groups in this area.

I would also like for you to pray about signing up for the 72 hour prayer vigil for this upcoming flight. As of today, Wednesday, there are 41 prayer time slots available. We would like to have this totally filled up by the beginning of the flight. I know you can remember when you had your experience when the Spiritual Director brought out the list of people that were praying for you all during the weekend, especially the ones that sacrificed their sleep getting up in the middle of the night to pray for us. All I could say then was WOW!!! Please take the time and bless these young men and receive a blessing in return for your obedience. The prayer vigil can be located here: http://www.3dayol.org/Vigil/GetVigil.phtml?pvid=2864&commid=61.

Prayer Request for Family of Gwendolyn Sanders

Friday, October 10th, 2008

Mother of Linda Pinson and Charlene Reeves regretfully and with deeply saddened hearts wish to inform our Emmaus community of the passing of our precious mother today at the local hospital. Visitation will be Saturday 1-2 PM at First Baptist Church, SSI, with funeral at 2 PM. Graveside services will be held Sunday at 2 PM in Fitzgerald, Georgia.

Please keep us in your prayers as I know each and everyone will. I know where my mom is and I know I will see her again when the Lord is ready for me to take that step until then I have her tucked deep within my heart.

For all of who are blessed to still have your parents with you don’t forget to hug them and tell them you love them.

God bless,
Charlene Reeves
