Chrysalis needs your help

Sunday, June 29th, 2008

Greetings from the Chrysalis Board of Directors,
We are in need of a laptop computer and projector for same. The Kairos team in Savannah has graciously lent their equipment for our flights and now is the time for Chrysalis to have their own equipment.

If you have this equipment and would like to donate it to Chrysalis, please contact me to make arrangements. If you would like to donate funds to help us purchase this equipment, we would welcome that as well. We do not charge the youth as much as what each Emmaus community charges the pilgrims, and we do not have an excess amount in the bank to purchase these ourselves.

This equipment is used just like during the Emmaus walk to project the music and speakers for the caterpillars.

Again, we need your help and this helps us keep the cost down for the young people we serve.

Please feel free to contact me.

Emmaus/Chrysalis By The Sea

Saturday, June 28th, 2008

Labor day weekend, Epworth By The Sea is hosting the annual Emmaus/Chrysalis By The Sea (view the previous post here).  If you don’t want to spend the weekend on St. Simons, the cost is only $15 for the registration fee, plus your meals that you eat at Epworth’s cafeteria. We will be having a Chrysalis person give a fourth day talk as well as Chrysalis type music led by Brian Winter of Savannah/Richmond Hill area. We are also possibly having clown communion one evening during the Chrysalis themed day. Please attend as it is hosted by the Golden Isles, Coastal and other communities. Last year we even had some attend from Florida.

Hope to see you there! Let’s represent the Golden Isles on our home turf.

Update on the Little Family

Friday, June 27th, 2008

Praise the Lord, and thanks for your prayers! Susan went this morning to Macon and found out that her job had been recreated by her new principal. The Lord truly stepped in to this situation and worked it out for us. Now, we’re trusting Him to find a buyer for our home! Thanks again for your diligent prayers.

Tuesday, June 24th, 2008

Please be in prayer for our family. We are moving to Macon from Blackshear in a few weeks and have thus far not been able to sell our home. In addition, Susan received news yesterday that the job lined up for her to teach in Bibb County is no longer there. Please pray that we can sell our home and find a job for Susan!

Thanks,

Prayer Request for Bagwell Family

Tuesday, June 17th, 2008

Hello Christian Brothers and Sisters, pls. lift up the Bagwell family of the Atlanta area in LOVE and prayer. Caroline Bagwell a 19 yr. old rising Sophomore @ Georgia College and State University, lost her life to a drunk driver on early Sunday morning the 15th. Caroline was a wonderful blessing to her DZ sorority sisters and loved our Lord Jesus Christ w/ all of her heart. Lord, we pray for her hurting family and sisterhood and hope they can grieve properly, understanding God’s love and comfort will win out over all!

Praise you Jesus for Caroline’s life - it was a life of love, laughs and wonderful caring.
