Prayer Request for Deean Peterson

Monday, September 24th, 2007

I have a co-worker whose mother has been fighting cancer for a long time and he asked me if I would pray for his mother and their family. Her name is Deean Peterson and her cancer has taken a turn for the worse in the last few days. My friend Kyle and his brother Kaleb are the only close family to her. He has not been on the Emmaus Walk and I would like to ask that we all pray for him as well as his family, that they will be able to make it through this tough time with Gods blessing. Let us show him the power of prayer and that God is the Great Physician and truly does heal. He is a believer although he is having a tough time with his faith right now with his mothers condition. Please ask God to strengthen his faith as well.

Prayer Request for Charlie Miller

Wednesday, September 19th, 2007

Charlie Miller, South Georgia Walk #3 and former lay director, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, September 18 at 5 PM after a very difficult time in the Brunswick hospital. The funeral will most likely be Friday, September 21 at St. Simons UMC - time to be determined.

Pray for his wife, Pat and their three children and two grandchildren. A son, Craig, was to be on Golden Isles Walk #5 this weekend and now will have to defer until the next one.

Tuesday, September 18th, 2007

Please remember my sister, Carla McPherson in your prayers. Carla has been diagnosed with Aortic Stenosis. Today, Carla sees the surgeon. Her husband, Mitchell McPherson is recovering from back surgery. Also, while serving on active duty with the Army Reserves in Kuwait last year,he sustained damage to a nerve in his right eye. Now Mitchell cannot see to drivein. The doctors say his vision cannot be repaired. I will keep you updated as to when the surgery will be.

I covet your payers for my sister and her family.

Update on Vicki McDonald

Tuesday, September 18th, 2007

We saw the Dr. yesterday and Vicki has a pretty new purple cast. She is not having much pain and we are grateful the Dr. said there was no need for surgery or pins. Must be checked again in 2 weeks to make sure it is healing correctly or that could still happen so continue to pray for healing. We are so grateful for this not being more serious than it is. Now please remember nurse John that I can learn to be a better servant. What a lesson!!!

Thank you and Decolores!!
