Golden Isles Walk to Emmaus

Next chapter in the saga of Sandy Thornberry:

Today I had an arteriogram. The good news is there is only one aneurysm in my brain. The bad news is they couldn’t get to it because it is behind my right eye.

So, Sept. 17, I shall go back to Dr. Howington in Savannah and he will make an incision in my hairline on the right side, peel back my face, bore 4 holes in my skull and use a saw to take out the piece, peel back the dura of my brain and clip off the aneurysm and then put everything back together. I will look like a gargoyle for a few weeks, but I won’t have a “time bomb” in my head. I am not looking forward to this, but I know God is in it and will bring me out on the other side. Bless all the prayers that you will offer for me in the next few weeks.
